Structural Surveys
Expin can carry out a vast series of services related to the survey of structures, with a variety of available instruments. The survey requests can in fact range from general architectural survey, for which there is an increasing tendency to use the Laser Scanner methodology (the Expin laboratory is equipped with cutting-edge HW and SW instrumentation), up to the carrying out of “expert” surveys ” where the measurement tool is used in a functional manner for the graphic representation not only of the structural object but also for the description of a whole series of detailed information not directly deducible from the survey (structural, critical survey, connection details, etc. ).
For these types of expert survey, the measuring instrument can therefore be combined with diagnostic tools such as thermal imagery, video endoscope inspection, calliper precise measurements, ultrasonic thickness gauge, and others.
For special surveys, therefore at high altitude or in river underpasses that cannot otherwise be inspected, we use remotely piloted vehicles such as UAV drones and remote-controlled boats equipped with a precision camera (e.g. for the inspection of highways, motorways, provincial or municipal bridges with impossible manned inspection for reduced space available).
The services offered are summarized below. All services include field work to carry out measurements and the graphic rendering of what is detected, with the required level of detail.

– survey of construction details (e.g. floor stratigraphy, wall texture and level of walls connection, direct visual survey of the steel bars of reinforced concrete elements, nodes and carpentry of trusses, decorative elements, …)

– survey of the crack pattern
– altimetric topographic survey with high precision digital level
