Monitoring of Infrastructures
The infrastructural heritage is an asset of primary importance for every country, and the assessment of the state of health of the most critical elements represents a necessary and normatively established act, for the purposes of the correct allocation of resources and the protection of human life. SHM systems are used on these artefacts to ascertain the correct structural functioning of the whole or functional parts of them, and provide important information on their operational state, to support maintenance activities and the decisions of the managers of the infrastructure assets.
Expin – as a testing laboratory – has the expertise and extensive experience in carrying out structural preventive checks necessary for the correct interpretation of the structural problem, and has successfully designed and installed numerous structural monitoring systems on strategic infrastructures and buildings.
