Civil buildings can be subject to a series of degradation or structural decay phenomena for ageing, external events or of anthropic nature (invasive construction sites, vibrations induced by traffic, …), following extreme natural events (earthquake, floods, explosions, … ) or intrinsic weaknesses (differential settlements, landslides, …).
