Covermeter test

The Covermeter tests allow the localization of the reinforcement in reinforced concrete, the measurement of the concrete cover and the qualitative indication of the diameter of the rebars/stirrups in relation to the difference in magnetic properties between them and the concrete conglomerate. The test, which is completely non-destructive, consists of passing a probe over the surface of the concrete structure where the reinforcement needs to be identified. This probe emits an electromagnetic field and can locate the rebars and estimate their diameter by analyzing the distortions of the emitted field. The data obtained is processed and shown on a display and/or stored in the memory of the receiving unit.
