R.C. beams and pillars cover removal

The execution of tests on structural elements made of reinforced concrete, such as columns, beams, slabs, walls, curbs, and foundation structures, involves the removal of the concrete surface layer to allow direct visual inspection and survey of the reinforcement. The type of reinforcement (smooth bars, deformed bars, stirrups, hooks, etc.), dimensions, concrete cover thickness, and photographic documentation – providing insight into the conservation state – are recorded.
