Geometric survey

The geometric survey provides detailed documentation of the geometry of structural elements—whether recurring or unique—and their construction details, which are typically not captured in architectural surveys, even when performed using laser-scanner technology. This detailed geometric survey service may pertain to timber roofs, load-bearing or decorative metal frameworks or elements, or other geometric features. It includes the dimensions of the structural elements, the details of their connections and joining components such as brackets, nails, bolts, rivets, etc., as well as any non-structural elements, such as suspended ceilings or non-load-bearing vaults commonly found in historic buildings.
