Analysis of stone samples

The test consists in the extraction of a suitable quantity of stone for its chemical-physical characterization (mineralogical-petrographic study). Samples of stone extracted are documented, catalogued, and analysed under a polarizing microscope in thin section. The study defines the compositional and textural characteristics of the stone by identifying its mineralogical constituents.
